Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Designer to join our team. This senior level position will be responsible for the planning and execution of engineering designs using CAD software and other proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading teams in both a technical and managerial capacity by leveraging their strong communication and decision making skills. This position offers some flexibility for remote work, but regular in-office presence and regular travel to site locations is necessary to ensure the work is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and create detailed engineering designs, blending innovation with industry standards to meet project specifications and goals.
  • Drive the engineering and design process from conceptualization through to final evaluation, confirming each stage meets our standards for technical precision and innovation.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders to gather requirements and secure all necessary documentation prior to submitting the final designs.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal team members to elevate their capabilities, ensuring adherence to technical, regulatory, and quality benchmarks.
  • Act as a mentor to junior designers and other team members, fostering their technical skills and career development.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the design processes and outcomes.
  • Uphold stringent safety, industry, and environmental protocols, aligning project execution with regulatory compliance and industry standards.

Other Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to both remote and in-office work environments, with a readiness to attend the office as required.
  • Experience with MicroStation or similar CAD software.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Company driving standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Compensation

  • $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience.
